These two versions cannot be used directly for programming.
OpenEdtion used SA868 open-edition module, which internal Micro-controller is erased and left blank after the Factory QA test.
There is no published open-source firmware, so you cannot test the RF functionality directly on them, you need to develop it yourself or follow the progress of the open-source community.]

Software still needs a bit of work, hardware is great
been building LoRa APRS firmware and this board is awesome for independent unit and to port it also to APRS AFSK/VHF
Seems to TX ok but does not decode packets with esp32aprs, unfortunately
