The difference between them is the PMU
- V1.1PMU= AXP192
- V1.2PMU= AXP2101

While other modules from Lilygo (T-Beam SoftRF SMA NEO-6M & T-Beam SUPREME SoftRF UBLOX M10S) worked out of the box, this model cannot detect GNSS chip.
It seems to be related to the batch - friend of mine who purchased few weeks later faces the same issue.
Hw seems to be OK (GNNS indicates a lock) but something is not set properly and Lilygo does not react on support request.

2 out of 10 devices i ordered from this company is either completely dead on arrival or partially malfunctioning. Twenty percent, let that sink in.
There is total lack of quality control.
Of course you can ask for a refund, but their support will just waste your time. They ask for evidence (take pictures of a non functional GPS antenna, or download their useless example FW with no proper error logging in UART...) then they just dont write back or come up with some other nonsense.
Its all so tiresome.
Never ever order anything from this company again.

It’s amazing what such a small and cheap board can do. I tend to upgrade teh GPS and RF antennas and add a battery, but they are such great units and it is an extra bonus to have SoftRF already installed - it makes updating the software much easier when there is already a web-based interface available.
Physiquement un jolie produit, mais très très difficile de pouvoir faire fonctionner un simple programme LoRa. Impossible de télécharger les bibliothèques sur Github ni sur la plate-forme Arduino et vscode. Aujourd'hui mes modules sont non fonctionnel, très très dessus.
