The Lilygo T-beam probably is the best meshtastic node available. It is not the smallest one. It is not the cheapest one. It is not the most energy efficient one since it based on the ESP32, but is may very well be the most complete one. It is very well built and comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box. The GPS works great and the 18650 battery holder on the back of the PCB makes it easy to just pop in a battery end get started. Since the I2C pins are available on the header it is also very easy to add additional sensors if you like. For anyone who is looking into getting started with meshtastic or develop your own LoRa modules, this is probably the best and most flexible way to do it. It is also great that you can safely purchase them directly from Lilygo in their excellent webshop so there is no need to look to other stores. Shipping is quick and they come carefully packed.
